The Euromoney Private Banking Award for Excellence in Family Office Services is presented to the provider that has most influenced the private banking industry through its approach to protecting, developing and transferring to future generations the patrimony of wealth management clients. BNP Paribas Fortis' Family Office was launched in January 2022 and offers a holistic range of services in line with the client’s vision, according to strict prudential controls, rules of conduct and banking standards: consolidation and reporting, administration, risk analysis, philanthropy, etc.
“We are thrilled to receive this award, which recognises our team's hard work and dedication to delivering qualified family office services,” says Olivier Van Belleghem, Head of Wealth Management at BNP Paribas Fortis. “Our goal is to provide our clients with a trusted financial companion that guides them at the right pace and for all aspects of their wealth management. This award is a validation of our efforts and a reflection of our bank's values and mission.”
The Euromoney Private Banking Award for Best Bank for Sustainability is a recognition of BNP Paribas Fortis’ commitment to sustainable development[1] and responsible investments[2]. As the largest bank in Belgium[3], BNP Paribas Fortis is an important player in this market and its related products, with a share of 27% in 2023[4]. The bank is also a signatory of the ‘Towards Sustainability’ label developed by Febelfin in 2019.
"We are proud to be recognised for our efforts in sustainability and responsible investments," says Sandra Wilikens, Head of Affluent, Private Banking & Wealth Management at BNP Paribas Fortis. "Our goal is to make a positive impact on society and the environment, while also providing our private banking clients with responsible investment solutions. This award is a testament to our commitment to sustainability and our dedication to making a difference."
BNP Paribas Fortis’ commitment to sustainability is also reflected in its philanthropic efforts, including Impact Together, its corporate philanthropy fund embedded in the King Baudouin Foundation. The bank is also a member of the Impact Finance Belgium association.

The Euromoney Awards for Excellence were launched in 1992. Today, more than 600 banks in over 100 countries enter the competition each year. Before the awards ceremony, a panel of journalists and experts examines the financial data and customer service of the participating banks.
[1] Sustainable development: Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
[2] Responsible investments: we consider investment products to be responsible if they take into account the potential negative impacts on the environment, society, and governance (ESG). Some of these products may also allocate a portion of their assets to achieve specific environmental or social goals.
