BNP Paribas Fortis took decisions not to distribute any dividend in the years 2016 and 2017, awaiting further clarification with respect to the new capital requirements and while pursuing the integration of the newly-acquired Arval.
Now BNP Paribas Fortis is returning to its normal dividend policy. On December 4, 2018, the Bank will distribute an interim dividend of EUR 3.36 per share, for a total amount of EUR 1,899,052,538.88, equivalent to the consolidated profits earned last year (2017).
This interim dividend, authorised by the regulatory authority, is the result of sound capital management.
