Settle your accounts with the 'Payback time' video
Together with the Publicis advertising agency, BNP Paribas Fortis launched a viral, fun video that brings absent-minded debtors out in a cold sweat. Unless Easy transfer gets them off the hook…
BNP Paribas Fortis has launched its new on-line campaign on the social media. In a form that is creative to say the least, the campaign highlights Easy transfer, the payment function to Belgian mobile phone numbers.
The name of the video behind this campaign speaks volumes: ‘Payback time’. This video offers impatient creditors the chance to set a ‘debt recovery specialist’ on the trail of their debtors. A henchman who will call debtors, friends or family, who are late paying up firmly to order.
It can be done very realistically, since the user can personalise the video by adding the amount due, his first name (as creditor), and the first name, photo and address of the debtor. A final option which, thanks to Google Street View, will enable this grim-looking individual to view the poor debtor’s home.
Launched on the social media a few days ago, the video is already enjoying a certain amount of success. Surfers can share the video link with their friends via Facebook or by e-mail. The first 50,000 ‘victims’ to watch the video will receive a text message when, at the end of the film, the grim-looking individual presses the ‘Send’ button on his mobile. This text message contains a link to the new Easy transfer page on the PC banking website in French or Dutch.
Because the idea behind this amusing video is to enable BNP Paribas Fortis to demonstrate how the Easy transfer function can be used to ‘settle accounts’ between friends quickly, easily and safely.
